The book of Hebrews can be one of the more daunting books of the New Testament, and so even many mature Christians fail to study it adequately. This is all the more ironic considering it is this very book that challenges Christians to move out of the infant stage of their spiritual lives and into a place of maturity or spiritual adulthood. From April to June, we will be exploring the book of Hebrews and will strive to grow in our spiritual maturity through its teachings. Hebrews is not for the faint of heart, but for those who will work to engage it, the book offers significant insight into the mind of God and the character and sufficiency of Jesus Christ.

Suburbia sells us more than just a house on a quiet cul-de-sac with shopping nearby. It sells us a philosophy of life, a way of looking at the world: consume! be comfortable! be safe! achieve! succeed! And many American Christians make so little impact in their suburban worlds because we buy into the worldview that suburbia is selling. But we should not, and we do not have to. The weight of suburban expectations are crushing and do reflect the light burden promised by Jesus. Through studies of the words of Jesus and of the Old Testament prophet Amos, this series of teachings explores how to live in suburbia without selling out to it.
